Joe grew up on a farm in upstate New York, understanding the value of hard work and planning. He brings over 30 years of experience to Gunther Wealth Management, advising individuals, professionals, and businesses in a wide range of financial matters, including tax planning strategies, asset and investment management, 401(k) planning, general business consulting and charitable planning. He specializes in helping pre-retirees and retirees with the myriad of financial issues they face at this most important phase of their financial lives. His primary focus is on assisting clients in protecting and growing their wealth – now and for future generations. Before beginning his private practice in 2004, he was an Account Executive for Citigroup, specializing in communicating retirement plan benefits for the New York Deferred Compensation Program and numerous hospital plans throughout Central New York State. Joe's educational pursuits included St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, the College for Financial Planning of Denver, Colorado, and finally Merrimack College near Boston, Massachusetts, where his course work concentrated on legal issues associated with financial planning. Joe is a Certified Financial Planner Professional (CFP®) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). He is also a member of the Central NY Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and a proud member of Integrated Financial Group, a consortium of independent financial planners. An avid scuba diver and skier, Joe is at home on snow or in the ocean. He spends many hours as a registered volunteer for the New York State Prison system, counseling inmates in applying positive principles that assist in transitioning into productive life in their community.

AElisha Grippaldi is the Executive Assistant in the Norwich office. She has been with Gunther Wealth Management for ten years. She is detailed oriented and organized- thriving on lists, planners, and sticky notes. She is our in-house corporate travel specialist. AElisha loves to research, whether it’s an investment or a destination vacation spot-she’ll investigate it with keen interest. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending family time with her husband and five sons, wine tasting with her childhood friends, and any day spent at the beach is a wonderful day.

Rhonda has been with Gunther Wealth Management for almost twenty years and enjoys her role as Director of Operations. She has over twenty-five years of Administrative Support, Management & Customer Service experience. Her goal is to make sure that each client feels unique and important. Rhonda believes that each request made by a client, no matter how small, should be handled as promptly and seamlessly as possible. Her commitment to a team approach is key to delivering outstanding service and is based on the understanding that trust and confidence must be affirmed through every client interaction. Outside the office, Rhonda enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering in the community, traveling with her husband, learning the customs of the area she visits, walking on the beach, and horseback riding.

Maggie Sayers is the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional^TM at Gunther Wealth Management and loves helping people. She has spent much of her career in the financial industry, gaining experiences in areas such as customer relationship management, assisting with portfolio construction and retirement planning. She majored in Financial Services Management at the State University of New York and is currently pursuing a degree in accounting. While planning assistance is her primary job function by day, Maggie also enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, and traveling to faraway places.
